Orange jello and oreo cookies 03.05.10

My daughter has early out day on Fridays so we usually do something together in the afternoon. Sometimes she works with me at my office. Sometimes we run errands.
Today we prepared for tomorrow’s special day for my nephew, Luke. It’s his baptism day.
We were assigned to bring a salad and dessert. So, Eliana and I went shopping for ingredients and came home to put things together. Only when we got home she was seduced by the television – Disney Channel (this happens frequently, I might add) – while I started our project.
I made a mandarin orange jello recipe given to us by our friend, Connie (it’s her birthday today – woo hoo!), and homemade oreos, a recipe given to us by our friend Ellen. They’re two of our favorites.
